APRIL 4th | SHAKESPEARE

£10.00
sold out

4th April, 6pm-9pm.

April’s Beating Heart workshop is all about Shakespeare.

Love it or loathe it, his collection of work has shaped stories we’ve told for time. Comedies, tragedies, comedies in tragedies, repetitive names, and funny sounding words - it’s all so juicy!

In this workshop, we’ll look at metre as a group, visit a big ol’ speech together, then pair up actors to work on/share scenes from a range of Shakespeare’s plays.

We will send out the scenes to participants one week before the workshop.

**For this workshop we ask that you be as off-book as possible. We ask this as we strongly believe at Gaun Yersel’ that you cannot work on your craft if you don’t have the freedom to be away from the page. (We’re a gym, not the Olympics, but you still need to wear your trainers!)

Tea & biscuits will be supplied throughout !!

***While we have set up a fixed rate for workshops on the website, it is by no means a hard line. We value our community, and want to do best by them, and our workshop charges don’t always have to be in £ currency; we offer skill swaps, time exchanges, and commission rates. For more information please reach out to us at info@gaunyerselworkshop.com with the subject ‘Non-Fixed Workshop Rates’.
